The Strategic Food Security Project (PESA-FAO-SAGARPA) in the Montaña Region of Guerrero: A View from Experiences Not Considered in Its Design
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article shows how the implementation of a food-security project, designed and planned by specialists, does not necessarily correspond in practice to the proposed methodology. Lack of knowledge of the social context gives rise to unexpected events, informal arrangements, entrenched practices, singular actors, and the interests of social agents, among other factors. This is the case of the implementation of the Strategic Food Security Project (PESA-FAO-SAGARPA) in the Montaña region of Guerrero. The article specifically describes the experiences encountered by the PESA technical coordinator that were not contemplated in the project methodology.
