Sexual-Diversity Populations as a Vulnerable Group amid Increasing Discrimination and Violence in Jalisco

Abstract
The purpose of this text is to show the increase in discrimination and violence in the state of Jalisco, as well as the complaints related to these acts against people of sexual diversity. This violence primarily affects the trans population. This is alarming because, although laws exist at both the national and state levels to prevent discrimination and violence, they have proven insufficient. This context points to the lack of state and municipal public policies, as well as to the persistence of conservatism in the state. It is therefore a pending agenda that must be addressed by federal, state, and municipal authorities.
