Issue 7 of Esfera Pública: Revista en Gobernanza y Sociedad features a special contribution by Rocío Huerta Cuervo on the social impact of public spending in Mexico’s local governments. The research articles address key themes around democratic governance, the participation of social actors, institutional and electoral mechanisms, and sustainability. The issue also engages with socially sensitive topics such as quality of life, youth policy, and the phenomenon of disappearances in Mexico. With this issue, we also inaugurate our continuous publication modality, which allows us to share findings and debates as soon as they are peer-reviewed and edited, keeping the scholarly conversation fresher and closer to the moment of research and analysis. We invite readers to follow the contributions that will be published throughout this period.
